Former IndustryDive COO to Help Guide Strategic Expansion into Content Marketing and Events Businesses
Edisource, the AI-powered content studio for publishers, today announced that Meg Hargreaves, long time media executive and strategy professional, has joined its Board of Advisors. Hargreaves brings decades of executive experience from leading media and information companies to help guide Edisource's expansion beyond traditional editorial professionals into the content marketing solutions and event and conference sectors.
"We're thrilled to have Meg join our advisory board at such a pivotal time for Edisource," said Scott Roulet, Co-Founder and Chairman of Edisource. "Her deep understanding of B2B media operations and M&A expertise will be invaluable as we expand our AI solutions to serve the growth segments of marketing solutions and conference businesses."
Hargreaves most recently played a pivotal advisory role in bringing Billington CyberSecurity to market and overseeing Billington’s successful September 2025 exit to CloserStill Media in partnership with Brighttower. She last served as Chief Operating Officer at Industry Dive, where she played a critical role in the company's rapid growth, overseeing key operational functions and leading M&A activities through the company's sale to Informa PLC. Her career includes executive positions at CQ Roll Call (The Economist; exit to FiscalNote), Lexis-Nexis (Reed-Elsevier/RELX), and BNA (Bloomberg). She is also a past Chair of the SIIA (Software & Information Industry Association) Board of Directors.
"The media and events industries are at an inflection point with AI technology as they race to meet growing content marketing demands," said Hargreaves. "Edisource's focused approach to building AI tools specifically for B2B content creators, particularly with the recent launch of the company’s AI agent, Jo, positions it uniquely to help organizations scale their content marketing operations while maintaining quality and brand voice."
The appointment comes on the heels of Edisource's summer 2025 launch of Jo, an AI agent that automates the entire news cycle for publishers—from monitoring trusted sources and gathering breaking news to drafting articles and publishing to CMS platforms.
Jo serves as the lynchpin of Edisource's comprehensive content automation suite, empowering journalists and content strategists to automate the entire content creation cycle— from news gathering and planning to drafting and publishing live on their sites. This advanced AI agent operates with robust safeguards, ensuring publishers retain full control over the degree of automation, making it a completely opt-in process tailored to their content needs.
As Edisource expands its market presence, Hargreaves will advise on strategic initiatives to bring the company's AI-powered content solutions to events and conference companies, as well as B2B brands managing extensive owned-event portfolios. These organizations face similar content challenges as publishers, from pre-event promotion and real-time coverage to post-event content repurposing.
"Meg's experience scaling at Industry Dive and her broad perspective across the media landscape will help us better serve the evolving needs of B2B content creators," added Roulet. "Whether they're publishers, event organizers, or brands with robust content programs, we're building the AI infrastructure to help them work smarter and faster."
